What it demonstrates
A black-and-white educational film that looks like it was pulled from a late-’50s school library — about befriending the very thing that made it. Every frame had to stay in period: grain, lighting, title-card typography, the delivery of the dialogue. Style consistency is a different problem from character consistency — the whole frame has to agree with itself, every shot.
